Finally got around to finishing Crimson Skies High Road To Revenge. I had got stuck and left it for a while but I tried it again and got through it. Overall, it's a surprisingly good game as long as you like air combat. The flying is highly unrealistic but very playable and fun. Good story line and variety of tasks.
I also finished all of Project Gotham Racing 2 a couple of months ago. It's much much better than the original version which I got stuck on and never finished. The graphics are much the same but the game play and organisation has been completely rethought and works much better.
My wife and I are quickly working our way through Halo 2 at the moment. It's a good solid sequel and a no-brainer if you liked the original Halo. It's way too easy to get carried away and play into the wee hours of the morning!
I've also picked up Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic. Read lots of rave reviews of it and then found out it was pretty cheap to buy from PowerPlayDirect. It's great if you have the patience to play last year's games. The prices drop so quickly. However, I'm finding it very odd to play a turn-based game again after so many years. Been hearing good things about Fable, another RPG, but I need to restrain myself.
Meanwhile on the PC, I haven't finished Far Cry. Superb game but I've set it aside for a bit. Instead, I'm back to playing Age of Mythology once in a while. My daughter is keen on AOM so I've been helping her with it and that got me back playing it online. I'm holding off on Half Life 2 given all these other games to play. I don't dare sign up for Xbox Live.
So it doesn't surpise me when you hear that gaming has taken over significant market share of people's entertainment budget!
