After seeing so many articles on Second Life, I finally installed it, created an avatar and had a wander/fly around.
Yes, it's quite cool but I can't see myself spending that much time in it. But I can see the attraction and potential especially if you do make a bunch of friends there. I like the scripting and building aspect. Everyone can be an artist. One day, it will be visually fabulous. Of course, the economic angle is very clever.
Better than a chat room.
